Estes Park, Colorado--Hiking and wildlife Mecca.
Come to paradise--come to Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. We are located just 2 miles from the S entrance to the National Park, where vistas and hiking and wildlife abound. PLUS--Trail Ridge Road--the highest continuous auto road in the United States. Check us out … Misty Mountain Lodge, 800-586-8778.
We are conveniently located near town--in fact, I like to say if you throw a rock hard, you can hit it. Seriously, if you cross the bridge in front of Misty Mountain Lodge, you can take the Riverwalk along the Big Thompson River--and it's just a block down to the River Plaza on the backside of town--at the confluence at the Big Thompson and Fall Rivers. There, you will find coffee, ice cream, restaurants, shops, fountains, pools, and sculptures.
All this, and we are still very quiet. The back of our property is Prospect Mountain, the river is right across our lane, and the stately 60-foot spruces lend their ambiance.
Frequent concerts in River Plaza by local talent and artisans--including Plein Air art competition and more.
