Art Ehibit by Jim & Jena Price, Lake Charles, LA
The Henning Cultural Center is proud to announce a new exhibit of paintings by Jim & Jena Price, the owners of Jim Price Jewelers in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The Prices have emerged as leading area portraitists and creators of fine art. Their techniques are varied and complement each other; with styles ranging from fresh and bold to soft and dusky.Jim works primarily in oil and acrylic. He has been a master jeweler for thirty years and has designed many pieces of fine jewelry in white gold, yellow gold, silver, and platinum. It was a short leap for him to become a creator of fine art. Jim specializes in vibrant textured jazz and New Orleans creations. He loves to study the old masters and render his own versions of their time-honored designs.
Jena's favorite style is watercolour. She has a cultivation of art interests ranging from photography, graphic art, fashion design, unique Easter egg d?cor, to sidewalk chalk drawings. Her specialty is children's portraits created in watercolour and oil.The exhibit will be on display from April 9th - May 7th at the Henning Cultural Center in Sulphur. The Cultural Center will be closed for Easter weekend (April 10th - 12th), but will resume normal business hours on Monday, April 13th. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Thursday, April 16th, from 6 - 8 p.m.

We have 6 bedrooms to choose from + a new 2 bedroom fishermen's style bunkhouse which can be separated into 2 units. These are queen rooms, separate from the main house with private entrances and shower/baths. These units enjoy a great view of the mountains with a deck to sit, visit or rest and enjoy the fresh Alaskan air. Complimentary coffee is provided in all of the rooms and all of our rooms are smoke free, sorry, but we don't allow pets (handicapped exception does apply however).
2 of our rooms is our original cabin, which has been converted to a duplex and offers a beautiful view of the mountain. The unit is suitable for a 6 to 8 in a family or group, or as 2 individual private bedrooms with private full baths and private entrances. There is a common area, which may be shared which includes a full kitchen, family and combined dining area. Handicapped welcome.
Dine from our beautiful in-home "view room" with large bay windows all around, a great place to view the mountains from any angle, or watch the eagles drift overhead. All of our guests are served an Alaskan size full hot breakfast including our world renown sourdough pancakes (starter over 122 years old) plus much more.
