Biscuit Hill Bed and Breakfast of Canyon Lake, TX

Reserve Online: Here
Testimonials:
Just a few of the many kind words spoken about our Inn:
"Biscuit Hill has the location, amenities, and service that I believe puts it at the top of the best B&B's, anywhere. I feel I can make this observation after having stayed at many different B&B's through out the U.S. and Europe. What makes Biscuit Hill so special? First off, it is beautifully situated in a thickly wooded hillside overlooking Canyon Lake. Rooms on the lakeside of the house all have balconies or porches with pretty views. Next, the well appointed, different themed rooms are spotless and have the most comfortable beds that I have ever been in outside of my own bedroom. The delicious breakfasts are a terrific way to get your day off to a great start. The kind hostess and her husband do not live at the B&B, but do live a stone's throw away,
"Your web site does not due the house justice, and the food was the best we have ever had" James - Katy, TX
"We came to relax and reconnect. We were able to do both at your wonderful place. We will definitely be back" Jeannie - Houston, TX
"First off, I wanted to send a HUGE thank you for helping make this past weekend one of our best in years! My husband and I were desperately in need of a weekend away in the hill country. I stumbled across your website in our search. My profession is internet marketing, so I'm always weary in relying solely on web presence for making decisions, as I know how things can be made to look better than truth with the correct photography and wording. :) Your property and experience was better than anything I expected! Thank you for making us feel welcome and all of the thought and care that you put into your guests. We got our chance to relax in beautiful surroundings, ate the best breakfasts of our lives, and left with newfound friends. We will definitely be back and will recommend your B&B to friends and family." Shanda - The Woodlands, TX

Amenities:
All rooms offer porch seating with rocking chairs from the room, king bed, private bath, fireplace, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Four of the eight rooms have a private hot tub and lake view. Some suites have a microwave, but there are 2 for all guest use in our common rooms. Self-serve snacks are provided in the foyer for guests 24/7. Our guests favorite activity on site is feeding our deer, and we provide the deer corn. We allow pets in 2 suites, but the remaining rooms are pet free.

Area Activities:
Biscuit Hill is central to all the Hill Country attractions including the famous Hill Country Wine Trails. We are 20 minutes from the Blanco Lavender farms, Gruene Historic District, Gruene Hall, New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn, Natural Bridge Caverns, Natural Bridge Wildlife Park, Wimberley, Wimberley Zip Line Company, Wurstfest Grounds, and Landa Park. San Antonio and all it offers is just 35 miles from the Inn, and Fiesta Texas, and Sea World are only 45 minutes away. There are 3 golf courses near us and one is only 5 miles away. Of course, since we are only ½ mile up the hill from Canyon Lake, there are all the water sports available on the lake, and the Guadalupe River. Now if shopping is your thing, the San Marcos Outlet Mall is also only 20 minutes away, and Down Town New Braunfels, has wonderful antique and gift shop shopping. Of course, live music is a big deal in the Hill Country, and there are several venues to choose from. KNBT Radio provides up to date music listing for all the area music venues. Click on this link to view. http://www.knbtfm.com/soundcheck.php We are also fortunate to be only 5 miles from the White Water On The Horseshoe Ampa Theater where many big name acts perform. For the adventures, there is horse back riding, 5 hiking trails, zip line runs that cover 15 miles of line, and our geological wonder, the Canyon Gorge. The Gorge hike is guided and reservations must be made in advance. If you are worn out just reading about all these adventurous things, then the other less active thing guests do here is sit in their rocking chairs and read. We have a library or they bring their own books. What ever you like to do, we probably have the venue for you.

Pearl Magic
The June Birthstone Unveiled
The lovely month of June is known for two elegant birthstones: the dreamy blue rainbow moonstone, and classic pearl. Now don't dismiss pearls as those dusty things your grandmother wore every day without fail - the charm of a perfect strand of beads, or the unusual color and shape of freshwater pearls, can fit any style or time!
Curious about these subtle beauties? Here's a few interesting facts about pearls:
- Early Chinese myths told of pearls falling from the sky when dragons fought.
- In China, Pearls are thought to give wisdom, quicken the laws of karma, and protect children
- The Greeks thought pearls were the tears of the gods, and that wearing pearls would promote marital bliss.
- The Ancient Hebrews believed that pearls were used by God to decorate the Garden of Eden.
- In ancient Rome and medieval France, only the aristocracy were allowed to wear pearls.
- Pearls are considered to offer the power of love, money, protection and luck

Diana's Travel Story Enters The Deep
This month in Fun Features, the Travel Story is "SHIPWRECK! Scuba Diving in the Andaman Islands". Diana writes, "We left the sunlit world of the surface and began the slow descent to the depths. Ten meters, and the sunlight above became a fading memory. Fifteen meters, the daylight darkened ominously. At eighteen meters, the ocean became an eerie emerald green. I peered into the gloom, and barely made out the ghostly outline of the ship..."
